Ellingsen v. an East Bay gun shop: In one of our many successes, we handled a case that became the lead story on ABC national news. Gun shop owners sold a rifle in a "straw man" sale. The rifle was used by an ex-convict sniper who killed a man driving home with his wife on their wedding anniversary. We obtained a $400,000 settlement paid by the gun shop. This settlement is believed to be the first and only of its kind.
